Gerald Oglesby killed his 5-year-old son for “talking back” after he caught him misbehaving in the kitchen. The 45-year-old father of two from North Las Vegas, Nevada, waited 13 minutes for an emergency call to be put into 911 before entering the boy’s bedroom and fatally stabbing him with a kitchen knife. Oglesby originally told police that he had been disciplining his son and that the child had stabbed himself in the stomach. He has now pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Monday.
